Mordanted Fabric
One day, while teaching a class, my students asked if I sold mordanted fabric. Having never considered offering such a product for public consumption, I decided to explore this option. As I thought about what to sell and how to sell it, I quickly realized the reason behind my decision.
Dyeing is my passion, and I genuinely love what I do. However, I cannot deny that I have invested a significant amount of time, energy, and money into this endeavor, and I have been fortunate to have the means to do so. Not everyone has the time or space to take on such a project.
Offering pre-mordanted fabric makes the dyeing process much easier for you. We have cotton fabric that has been mordanted in a regular fashion using tannin and aluminum sulfate. Additionally, we have eco-mordanted fabric made from cotton, silk, and some linen. The eco-mordanted fabric is prepared with vinegar and is best suited for eco-printing methods.
