A plant rich in aluminum and can be used as an alternative to mordant fabric and fibers. Found in Using 50% wof, Symplacos is used in the same way as Aluminum sulfate or Aluminum Acetate when mordanting either protein or cellulose fibers and fabric for immersion dyeing. It can also be thickened and used in conjunction with surface design processes such as silkscreeneing or stamping to create color and pattern on the surface of fabric, also known as mordant printing.
